If you are unable to adopt or foster, consider being a Transport Sponsor for a dog going to an out-of-town shelter/rescue. ASVT has partnerships with shelters and rescues in Colorado, Iowa and Minnesota. These partners have room in their shelters/foster homes for ASVT pets because of better licensing and spay/neuter laws in their state. $200.00 is the average cost to transport a dog. You can sponsor all or part of the transport cost.

Periodically ASVT rescues a dog or cat for which, through no fault of their own, it is difficult to find a permanent, loving home. It may be because of their "breed", color, size or age. Sponsoring the adoption fee for a "Diamond in the Ruff" is an excellent way to help these pets finally find their home. The adoption fee for dogs is $250.00 and up; for cats $75.00.
