Maggie and her family need our help. Maggie has a severe heart murmur. ASVT is raising money to help Maggie's family pay for any recommended procedures to fix Maggie's heart condition. Click the button above, scan the QR code or visit www.ASVTexas.org/Help-Maggie to donate today.
Maggie (her name was Nala prior to adoption), a seven month old Anatolian Shepherd mix, was found in an HEB parking lot the night of a hard freeze in January 2022. She was adopted in March 2022. Maggie is "bestest friends" with the family's little boy. When Maggie was taken to be spayed, it was determined she had a grade 3 or 4 (out of 6) heart murmur. An echocardiogram was performed indicating "marked pulmonic stenosis", (a narrowing of the pulmonary valve, which controls the flow of blood from the heart's right ventricle into the pulmonary artery). Maggie has been referred to the Texas A&M veterinary hospital, cardiology department. The family is waiting for an available appointment. It is unknown what recommendations the Texas A&M cardiologist will have. However, the estimated cost for a balloon valvuloplasty, recommended for moderate to severe pulmonic stenosis, is $5,000.00. All proceeds will be sent to the Texas A&M veterinary hospital to help cover the cost of Maggie's examination and any recommended procedures. ASVT and one of our supporters will match 100% of all donations received. Click the button above, scan the QR code or visit www.ASVTexas.org/Help-Maggie to donate today. Checks should be made payable to "ASVT" with a memo noting the donation is to "Help Maggie". The mailing address is PO Box 476, Montgomery TX 77356. No matter how long ago a pet was adopted from ASVT, they remain a member of the ASVT family. Help Us Help Maggie. Thank you for your support.
