ADOPTION PROCEDURES
  • ALL ADOPTION APPLICATIONS MUST BE APPROVED BY AN ASVT BOARD MEMBER.
    • ​No animal can be released to an adopter prior to the adoption application being approved.
  • An adoption application and contract MUST be completed for all adoptions.
    • Please indicate the pet's name and ID # in the upper right corner of the application or contract.
  • The adoption fee is as follows and MUST be collected at the time of the adoption:
    • Dogs
      • already spayed or neutered - $250 and up (the RGO Animal record will indicate the correct fee)
      • not yet spayed or neutered - $350 and up. $100 will be returned to the adopter once ASVT receives proof of the dog being spayed or neutered.
    • Cats
      • already spayed or neutered - $75
      • not yet spayed or neutered - $125. $50 will be returned to the adopter once ASVT receives proof of the cat being spayed or neutered.
  • ASVT accepts cash, checks or credit card payments through ASVTs PayPal account accessible through the ASVT website.
    • ​Please indicate the amount and method of payment in the upper left corner of the application or contract.
  • The adopter receives a copy of the kennel card and the ASVT Adopter's Package.
  • Completed applications (if not already in RGO), contracts and fees should be: mailed to ASVT (address below) within three (3) days of adoption or hand delivered to an ASVT Board member.
